Abstract

This research paper presents a concise critical analysis of the resistance elements in the poetry of Zeb-un-Nisa Zebi, a prominent contemporary voice in Urdu literature. While Zebi is globally recognized for her realistic style and profound social observation, a dedicated academic exploration of the rebellious and reformative undertones in her work has remained largely unaddressed. Utilizing a qualitative and analytical methodology, this study investigates how Zebi employs her creative expression to challenge social inequalities, address feminine struggles, and advocate for the marginalized. Drawing primary evidence from her collected works-Sukhun Tamam, Kar-e-Dawam, and Harf-eNa-Tamam-the paper evaluates her artistic defiance against tyranny and establishes her distinct position within the tradition of modern Urdu resistance poetry.
